Material Planner

We are hiring a ” Material Planner ” for a UK-based company specializing in clothing and accessories focusing on comfort, style, and everyday essentials.
📍Work Location: Cairo
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials (fabrics, trims, accessories, etc.).
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment as needed to avoid material shortages or excess stock.
* Issue purchase requisitions for required materials in line with production timelines.
• Analyze supplier performance and lead times to optimize procurement schedules.
• Collaborate with design, merchandising, and production teams to understand material specifications and usage.
• Track material usage during production and update system records to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Maintain material planning reports and dashboards for internal reviews.
• Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying material waste or overstock risks.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery requirements for all materials.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience as a Material Planner, preferably in a garment or textile manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of clothing production processes and material consumption cycles.
• Familiarity with fabric types, trims, and garment accessories.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.
