Position: #HSE Engineer with #Marine Experience Department: Project Management & Contracts
The HSE Engineer will provide professional HSE leadership at Dar and all staff levels.
As the postholder, your main objective is to ensure and enhance health, safety and environmental standards within the Project. This role involves implementing effective Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and practices specific to operations.
The HSE Engineer is responsible for conducting risk assessments, issuing PTW, inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
You will collaborate with various stakeholders to promote a safety culture, provide HSE training, and advise on best practices to minimize incidents and environmental impact in marine activities.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in setting the strategic direction for effective HSE and appropriate workplace wellbeing programs for Dar employees.
• Conduct training sessions for Dar personnel and employees to enhance their awareness of safety procedures and best practices.
• Develop and implement environmental management
programs to minimize the impact of marine operations
on the environment and marine ecosystems. • Foster a strong safety culture within the organization by promoting safety awareness, encouraging reporting
of near-misses, and recognizing safety achievements.
