Summary of Position
The Data Manager controls the information generated during the project. Any research or visit will require some level of data management and contributes to the management of data collection and reporting activities in the operation

Job Description
• Design, build, test and deploy the technical Program required for successful Data Management solutions.
• Responsible for the refugee’s database (modifications – reviewing decisions- reviewing Inactive cases).
• Assist with the creation of test data for test data transfer files. Initiate and deliver data transfer to Stakeholders or their designated data recipient on request or on a data report.
• Manage the use, maintenance and technical support to all databases used in the operation including planning and oversight of data collection, input and verification; produce standard and ad hoc reports, and supervise all the data entry activities.
• Create and maintain database and spreadsheets that meet operational requirements and respond to report requests from donors, management & headquarters.
• Keep data up-to-date, secure & accurate.
• Archive and backup database systems; ensure the security of database; perform database administrator functions.
• facilitate and/or undertake additional data collection activities including planning and coordinating data collection methodologies and analysis with relevant staff.
• Focal point for compiling and calculating statistics reports, as well as for annual, periodic and requested statistical reports.
• Assist in training of staff in relevant aspects of data management and provide other support to end-users of database systems
• Perform any other duties as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements
• University degree in IT, Computer science, statistics or related field.
• From 3-4 years of previous job experience relevant to the function or in data management, statistics, analysis and information technology.
• Excellent command of English.
• Experience in web design and software development is an asset
• Experience with relevant software such as ODK and MSSQL server is desirable
• Experience with HTML, VBA, ASP .NET, C# and/or JAVA is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills, MS Access, SQL server data tools, Report builder
• Experience with handling confidential data and demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies

Language Skills:
• Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English.
