E-Commerce Manager
Job Description
Department: Digital / Commercial
Reports to: Head of Marketing / Commercial Director.
Job Purpose
The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for managing and growing the company’s online sales channels. This role focuses on driving revenue, improving customer experience, optimizing digital performance, and ensuring smooth end-to-end e-commerce operations.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute the e-commerce strategy to achieve sales, growth, and profitability targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly online sales performance and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to increase conversion rate, average order value, and customer retention.
Website & Platform Management
- Manage the e-commerce website and marketplaces (Ensure product listings, pricing, promotions, and content are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate with IT/tech teams to improve website functionality, speed, and UX.
Digital Marketing & Traffic Growth
- Work closely with marketing teams on paid ads, SEO, email marketing, and social commerce.
- Optimize campaigns to drive qualified traffic and maximize ROI.
- Support promotional campaigns, launches, and seasonal sales.
Operations & Fulfillment:
- Coordinate with logistics, customer service, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Monitor stock availability and reduce cancellations and delivery issues.
- Improve post-purchase experience and customer satisfaction.
Data & Analytics
- Analyze customer behavior, sales trends, and website performance.
- Prepare regular performance reports and actionable insights for management.
Team & Vendor Management
- Manage e-commerce executives/agencies if applicable.
- Coordinate with external partners, platforms, and service providers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of experience in e-commerce or digital sales (industry dependent).
- Strong understanding of online marketplaces, payment gateways, and fulfillment models.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms and analytics tools (Google Analytics, dashboards, CRM).
- Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
